Maple Glazed Salmon

Salmon is a great source of protein and is packed with heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids. The sweetness of maple syrup balances out the blend of spices in this healthy, tasty recipe. And, it only takes minutes to prepare.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ancho chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 (6-ounce) Alaskan salmon filets
  • Cooking Spray
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat broiler. Combine first 6 ingredients; rub spice mixture evenly over flesh side of fillets. Place fish on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray. Broil six minutes or until fish reaches your desired degree of doneness. Brush fillets evenly with syrup. Broil one minute.
