Ingredients
- 8 or more large cucumbers
- 1 large cauliflower, broken up
- 12 onions, peeled
- 2 red peppers
- 2 green peppers
- 1/2 cup pickling salt
- 5 cups hot water
- DRESSING
- 3 cups vinegar
- 2 cups water
- 3/4 cup flour
- 4 cups white sugar
- 1 TBSP turmeric
- 1 TBSP mustard seed
- 1 TBSP celery seed
- 6 TBSP dry mustard
Preparation
Step 1
Grind all vegetables. Sprinkle with pickling salt and add hot water. Let stand 1 hour. Drain thorougly. Then add dressing.
Make flour, mustard and water into a paste. Cook all together for 20 min and seal hot. Put in canner to seal
Makes 5 quarts
