  • 4 cups dried bread torn in small pieces
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or water
  • 2 celery ribs (1 cup) sliced 1/2 inch
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 t dried sage
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/8 pepper



Step 1

Mix the bread, celery, sage, salt, pepper and broth. Brown onions in the butter and pour over all the other ingredients. Mix well. You can add more water if the mixture is too dry. Stuff your turkey, pork chops, chicken with the stuffing or you can place in casserole dish and bake at 350 for 30 minutes covered then uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes until top is lighly browned. Serves approximately 8 to 10 people.
