Ingredients
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 lb Ground Pork
- 3/4 cup Breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan
- 1/2 cup Ricotta Cheese
- 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 3 cloves Garlic; Minced
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp Milk
- Pepper
- Oil
- (sauce)
- 3 cloves Garlic; Minced
- 1 Onion; Dinced
- 2 cans Tomato Sauce
- 1/4 cup Minced Parsley
- 3 Tbsp Tomato Paste
- 2 Tbsp Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
Preparation
Step 1
In a bowl, add in the beef, pork, breadcrumbs, cheeses, red pepper flakes, salt, garlic, eggs, milk and pepper. Using your hands, mash the ingredients up well until everything is well combined.
Then, form small balls and arrange them on a baking tray. When all the meat mixture has been rolled, set the prepared meatballs in the fridge for 1 hour.
When the meatballs are done setting, heat some oil in a pan over medium- high heat and begin browning the meatballs until they look dark and cooked through.
Once they are done, remove from heat and set aside.
Sauce:
Using the same pan, add in the garlic and onions; cook till tender and fragrant.
Then add in the sauce, parsley, tomato paste, sugar, and salt. Lower the heat and cook for another 20 minutes.
Later, add in the meatballs and stir well. Let the mixture simmer for 15 minutes before removing from the heat.
Serve warm on top of some tender noodles
