Ingredients
- 1 Tbs Butter
- 1/2 Bell Pepper
- 1/2 Large Onion (yellow or white)
- 1 Lb. Steak-umms meat
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire
- 1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 6 Slices Provolone Cheese
- 2 Soft Hoagie Rolls
Preparation
Step 1
1, Cut or shred the meat into super thin strips and set aside.
2. Set the Instant Pot to the Saute setting and add the butter.
3. Cut the bell pepper and onion into ¼" x 1" strips and add to the Instant Pot.
4. Saute for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add the beef, onion powder, Worcestershire and stir to combine.
6. Put the lid on the Instant Pot and set on "Pressure Cooker" high setting with valve on the "Sealing" setting. After the float valve pops up, set the timer for 8 minutes.
7. let stand for 10-12 minutes until the float valve has lowered before removing the lid.
8. Remove pot and strain all the liquid, then put pot back into instant pot.
9. Add 4 slices of cheese and stir to melt and combine. Put lid back on pot and set release valve to the "venting" setting and set to "Warm-high" for 10 minutes.
10. Remove lid and stir to combine all ingredients.
11. Toast the inside of the rolls on a hot pan.
12. Spread your favorite condiment (Mayo) on the bun.
13. Using tongs, take half the mixture and transfer to one of the hoagie rolls. Repeat on the other roll with the rest of the mixture.
14. Add salt and/or pepper to taste and top with another slice of cheese.
Enjoy immediately, makes 2 cheesesteaks.
