Vinaigrette Seven Ways

Use the basic vinaigrette recipe and add different items to change it up

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 3/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

Preparation

Step 1

In a pint size jar, combine the vinegar, garlic, mustard, salt and pepper. Cover and shake to dissolve the salt. Add 3/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil and shake to blend. Taste for seasoning. ***Vinaigrette can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Greek Vin: add 1 tsp chipped oregano and 1/2 tsp finely grated lemon zest
Dill Pickle Vin: Puree with 1 chopped large kosher dill pickle
Miso Vin: Add 1 Tbsp white miso paste
French-Style Vin: Add 1 tsp chopped fresh tarragon
Spicy Sesame Vin: Add 1 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds, 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil and 1 tsp
crushed red pepper
Ginger Vin: Add 2 Tbsp minced peeled fresh ginger
