Thanksgiving Dressing

Cooked chicken or turkey can be added to dressing before cooking.

Ingredients

  • Equal amounts cornbread and
  • leftover biscuits, light bread, etc
  • onion, chopped
  • celery, chopped
  • 1 stick butter
  • 6 - 12 eggs (depending on amount of bread)
  • 1 teaspoon sage
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • pepper
  • chicken broth

Preparation

Step 1

Tear breads into small pieces and place in large baking pan. Melt butter in skillet and saute onion and celery until tender. Pour, with butter, over bread crumbs. Season and add eggs; mix well. Add enough broth to make mixture very soupy. Bake at 375 degrees until browned and done in center.
