Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tsps vanilla
  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans
  • 1 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 About 1/2 cup granulated sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1) Cream butter, confectioners' sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy
2) Stir in pecans.
3) Gradually stir in flour until well blended.
4) Cover; chill 1 hour or until firm enough to handle.
5) Divide dough in 8 equal pieces.
6) On lightly floured board roll each into 1/2 inch wide ropes.
7) Cut in 1 3/4 inch lengths; taper ends, then shape into crescents.
8) Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
9) Bake in preheated 300 degree oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown and firm to the touch.
10) While warm, roll in granulated sugar. Place on racks to cool
