Spooky Squares

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
• 1 cup all-purpose flour, plus 2 tablespoons
• 2 tablespoon powdered sugar
• 2 eggs, beaten
• 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
• 1/2 cup coconut
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Preparation

Step 1

Combine butter or margarine, 1 cup flour and powdered sugar in a small bowl. Mix well.

Press into a greased 8-by-8-inch pan. Bake in a preheated 325 degree oven for 15 minutes.

Combine remaining ingredients, including 2 tablespoons flour, in a large bowl. Mix well.

Cover crust in pan evenly with mixture from large bowl.

Bake again at 325 degrees for 30 minutes. When cool, cut into squares.
