- 1 cup oil
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups coarsely grated apples
- 1 cup chopped nuts

Step 1
Do not use mixer. By hand, beat sugar gradually into oil. Add and beat in eggs, one at a time. Sift flour with soda and salt. Add vanilla to beaten mixture and beat; then mix in sifted ingredients alternating with apples and nuts. Pour into buttered tube pan and bake 1 hour in 325 degree oven.
