Ingredients
- 24 chicken drumsticks
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup diced garlic
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 5 cups fresh bread crumbs, made from crustless French bread
- 1/3 cup dry white wine
- 1/2 cup Dijon mustard
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Place drumsticks in one or two large resealable plastic bags.
Whisk onion, oil, garlic and soy sauce in a medium bowl to blend. Add marinade to drumsticks. Seal bag. Turn to coat with the marinade. Refrigerate overnight.
Line one or two large baking sheets with foil. Brush generously with olive oil.
Remove drumsticks from the marinade. Scrape off any onions or garlic. Place drumsticks in a large bowl.
Place bread crumbs in another large bowl.
Whisk mustard and wine in a small bowl. Drizzle over the drumsticks. Toss well to coat. Sprinkle drumsticks with salt and pepper.
Turn each drumstick in the bread crumbs, coating lightly but evenly. Place on prepared baking sheets.
Bake drumsticks in 375 degree oven for 45 minutes. Increase temperature to 400 degrees and bake drumsticks until evenly browned and cooked through, about 15 minutes longer.
Serve warm.
