Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 1 1/2 cups plus 2 TBLSPs sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 2/3 cups unsifted flour
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 TBLSPs cinnamon

Preparation

Step 1

1) Beat butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until creamy.
2) Add eggs and vanilla and beat until well mixed.
3) Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt.
4) Gradually add to butter mixture, blending well.
5) Combine remaining 2 TBLSPs sugar and cinnamon in small bowl
6) Roll dough into 1 inch balls. Roll each ball in sugar-cinnamon mixture and place on baking sheet.
7) Bake at 400 degrees 8 to 10 minutes.
