Mrs S's Egg Rolls

Ingredients

  • Sweet and Sour Sauce:
  • 1 pkg ground turkey or pork
  • 1/2 pkg bacon (sliced fine or grind
  • 1 small onion diced or sliced fine
  • 4 carrots, sliced or ground fine
  • 1 whole egg
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 pkg egg roll wrappers
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp cornstarch (dissolve in water)
  • 1/2 cup catsup
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients except wrappers
Separate the egg rolls and roll portion of the mixture according to size you desire.
Pre heat a deep pan, pour oil, pre-heat the oil (veg.,canola) then deep fry the rolls.
When rolls are brown, (8-10 min) drain on paper towels.
If you have a deep fryer fry for 2-3 min

For Sauce:
Mix all ingredients and cook over low heat
