Cream Cheese Pound Cake

This recipe is from Mom's friend Mary! She loves to serve it with fresh strawberries and cream or ice cream.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 6 eggs
  • 3 sticks butter
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Soften butter and cream cheese. Add sugar 1 cup at a time. Beat well; add 2 eggs into mixture and beat well. Add 1 cup of flour and beat again. Add 2 more eggs, beat. Add 1 cup of flour; beat. Add last 2 eggs; beat. Add last cup of flour, beat. Finally add 2 tsp. vanilla.
Grease Bundt pan throughly. Preheat oven to 325.
Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes - check after 1 hour 15 minutes or so -- it's a heavy batter so check it with a butter knife.
Remove from oven and let it set for 15 to 20 minutes before removing from pan.
