Ingredients
- Pastry:
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 sticks butter
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk - more if needed for consistency
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- Filling:
- 7 ripe peaches
- or
- 5-6 apples
- or
- 4-6 cups blueberries
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, loose pack
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tbsp. corn starch
- 1 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 1/2 stick unsalted butter, room temp.
- Raisins/craisins, if desired

Step 1
Mix pastry ingredients. Flatten, wrap in plastic, refridgerate 30 min. or until firm. Peel/prep fruit. Slice 1/2" thick. Place in large bowl, add sugar, nutmeg, flour, salt. Combine well. Pour into buttered baking dish, dot with butter. Roll out pastry and place on fruit. Seal edges, cut slits on top. Bake 35 min. at 400. cool 15 min. before serving.
