Black Eyed Peas - Instant Pot
These were soft but not mushy with lots of delicious liquid. Serve with cornbread to sop up every last drop!
- 1 pound dried black eyed peas
- 4 cups chicken stock
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 ham bone or ham (I used the leftover ham from Christmas)
- Garlic powder, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Sriracha, to taste
- Salt, to taste
Preparation time 5mins
Cooking time 65mins
Add all ingredients to the Instant Pot, place the lid on and lock it.
Cook for 30 minutes at high manual pressure. (Note: It will take a little while to come to pressure)
Allow the pot to release naturally. Mine took about 30 minutes, FYI. Add salt to taste.
