Blueberry Compote

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated orange zest
  • 1/4 cup cold water

Step 1

In a heavy saucepan, combine blueberries and orange juice. Mix sugar, cornstarch and orange zest with cold water, stir into blueberry mixture. Heat, stirring occasionally, until sauce. It will thicken as it cools. Makes about 2 cups.
