Taco Pie (Paleo)

Ingredients

  • Taco Seasoning:
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • Taco seasoning (see below for recipe)
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cups guacamole
  • 1/2 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • 1 cup garlic salsa
  • 1 cup black olives,
  • 1 tablespoon chili poweder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, onion powder, oregano
  • Pinch cayenne

Preparation

Step 1

In a small bowl, combine all the taco seasoning ingredients and set aside.
In a large deep skillet over medium-high heat melt the butter. Add in the onions and saute for 10 minutes until caramelized. Remove the onions from the skillet.
In the same skillet brown the meat until no longer pink, breaking the meat into small pieces as it cooks. Sprinkle the prepared taco seasoning over the meat and stir. Remove the skillet from the heat.
Spread the guacamole over them meat. Top with shredded lettuce, caramelized onions, garlic salsa, and black olives.
Scoop and serve.
