Ingredients
- 1 package dry yeast
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2 Tbs sugar
- 1 Tbs onion flakes
- 1 Tbs butter
- 2 tsp dill weed
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1 egg, unbeaten
- 2 1/4 cup flour to 2 1/2 cups
- Servings: 12
- Oven Temperature: 350°F
Preparation
Step 1
1. Heat cottage cheese to luke warm. Soften yeast in warm water or active yeast may be sifted with flour (Don't forget the 1/4 Cup water). Combine in mixing bowl the cottage cheese, onion, sugar, butter, dill weed, salt, soda, egg, and yeast. Add flour to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition. Cover and let rise in a warm place until light and double in size. (50-60 mins) Stir down dough and turn into a well greased 8" round 1 1/2 to 2 qt. casserole. Let rise again 30-40 mins. Bake for 40-50 mins. in a 350F oven, until golden brown. Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.

Tips
On line recipe is exactly the same however they also add a package of outdated yeast for flavor and the dill is a combination of weed and seed. 2-3 Tsp. suggested I was wondering if I could add seeds and it appears it is encouraged!
