CRANBERRY SALAD

Opal's recipe - the only cranberry salad I can eat!

Ingredients

  • 1 bag fresh cranberries, cut up fine
  • 2 cups crushed pineapple with juice (large can)
  • 2 oranges, cut into small pieces, seeds & peel removed
  • 2 apples, cut into small pieces, seeds removed
  • (removing peel is optional)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, optional
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 large boxes orange Jell-O (or 4 small boxes)
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • red food coloring

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the sugar and Jell-O. Dissolve in the boiling water. Mix together well and let cool.

Into above mixture add the first 5 ingredients. Stir well to mix together. Add a few drops of red food coloring (not much) and stir.

Refrigerate overnight
