Smoked Salmon and Egg Torta

    oz smoked salmon

  • 5


  • 6

    oz (maybe less) cream cheese softened

  • ¼

    purple onion sliced thin

  • 3

    T capers, drained

  • 3

    cloves garlic minced

  • 1

    loaf french bread

  • olive oil


1. Cut the loaf lengthwise 2. in a non-stick skillet, add oil and heat, fry the eggs, over easy, one or 2 a time. 3. Spread cream cheese on bottom of the bread and top with onion and capers. 4. Layer salmon and eggs on top of cream cheese. 5. In left over oil, cook garlic until light gold in color. 6. Spread garlic and oil over face of the top of the loaf. 7. Heat in the oven at 350 deg to crisp the bread. 3 to 5 minutes. 8. Cut into servings and eat
