Ingredients
- 8 oz sliced mushrooms
- 1 TBSP butter
- 1 TBSP olive oil
- 1/2 cup dry white whine
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 TBSP flour
- 3 TBSP cold water
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp dried parsley
Preparation
Step 1
Saute mushroom, butter and olive oil for 3 - 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add red wine and simmer a few minutes. Add beef broth and simmer to reduce a little bit, about 5 minutes.
Combine flour and cold water and whisk until smooth. Stir into the mushrooms until well blended. Season to taste with salt and pepper, simmer until thickened. If too thick, add a little more beef broth. Add parsley, stir to combine.
Serve with steak or roast beef.
