Ingredients
- 14 oz. Corn Chex Cereal
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 cups pretzel sticks
- 2 cups Red and Green M&M's
Preparation
Step 1
Pour the Chex cereal into a large bowl and set aside. In a glass bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Melt in the microwave on High heat for 1 minute. Remove the bowl and stir the ingredients. Return the bowl to the microwave and continue heating for another 30 seconds. Remove the bowl from the microwave. Add the vanilla extract to the peanut butter mixture; Mix well. Pour the peanut butter mixture over the cereal and stir the evenly distribute the chocolate over the cereal.
In a gallon-sized bag, pour in 1 cup of powdered sugar; Add half of the coated cereal. Seal the bag and shake well until the powdered sugar has coated all of the cereal. In a separate gallon-sized bag, pour in the remaining 1 cup of powdered sugar. Add the remaining cereal to the powdered sugar in the second gallon-sized bag. Seal the bag and shake well until the powdered sugar has coated all of the cereal.
Pour the sugar coated cereal into a clean, large bowl. Add the pretzels and M&M's and gently mix well together.
