Ingredients
- 4.5 c Rice Chex
- 4.5 c Corn Chex
- 1 c packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c salted butter
- 1/4 c light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 2/3 c sugar
- 2 t cinnamon
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350.
Place cereal in large, heat safe bowl
Line baking sheet with foil and spray with non stick spray
Combine cinnamon & sugar in small bowl.
In heavy saucepan, over medium heat, heat brown sugar, butter and corn syrup until it comes to a boil. Let boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat, stir in baking soda, pour over cereal and stir til coated.
Spread cereal on baking sheet and sprinkle with cinnamon/sugar mixture.
Bake for 5 minutes then flip with a spatula and bake for 3 more minutes until cereal is golden brown.
Cool complete, break up, and store in air tight container.
