Best Liver and Onions

Ingredients
- 1 pound fresh beef or calf liver, cut about 1/2" thick
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 2 medium onions, sliced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons dry sherry
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Hot rice (optional)

Preparation
Step 1
Cut liver into 1/2" strips. Cook in hot oil about 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add remaining infredients (except rice). Cover and simmer about 10 minutes, until onions are tender, stirring occasionally. Serve over rice.
