Ingredients
- 4 Potatoes - peeled and sliced in coin shapes
- 2 Cups Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Melted Butter
- 2 Tablespoons Flour
- 1/2 Tsp salt
- 1 Tsp Nutmeg
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 5 Tablespoons Chopped Onions
- 2 Cloves Garlic - finely minced
- 1/2 Pound Shredded Chicken
- 1/2 BB Sauce
- 1/2 Pound Gouda Cheese (more if you prefer)
Preparation
Step 1
This recipe is assembled in layers in a greased 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish.
Boil potatoes in water for 10 minutes then drain.
Mix - milk, melted butter and flour and simmer for 5 minutes. Add salt and nutmeg and cook until thick. Stir constantly to avoid sticking to pan.
Warm oil then add onions and garlic and simmer until onions are soft.
Mix shredded chicken with BBQ sauce and add to onion and garlic mix.
Layer 1 - Arrange 1/2 potatoes in bottom of baking dish.
Layer 2 - Spread 1/2 milk mixture over potatoes.
Layer 3 - Spread 1/2 of BBQ mixture over sauce.
Repeat Layers 1, 2 & 3.
Spread Gouda Cheese over entire mixture.
Baked at 400 degrees for 40 minutes
