Ingredients
- 1 chocolate cake, baked
- 1 can chocolate frosting
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup pumpkin
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
Preparation
Step 1
1. Make a chocolate cake in 2 layers. Cool layers and remove from pans.
2. While the cakes are cooling, prepare Pumpkin Spread by beating cream cheese until creamy. Add pumpkin, sugar, pie spice and vanilla until well blended. Keep in refrigerator, this recipe will be more than enough for this cake, so it can be spread on muffins and use again.
3. When cake layers are cool, spread Pumpkin Spread on one later, top with second cake layer and spread with chocolate frosting on top and sides of cake.
