RED CABBAGE

This is a recipe that came from my mom and one that I have enjoyed over the years.

Ingredients

  • 1 - Medium Head of Red Cabbage
  • 1 - Tbsp Shortening melted or 1 Tbsp. Olive oil
  • 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Cut cabbge very fine then add the above ingredients, place in a covered pan and heat on simmer all day.
Make ahead of time and reheat the day your going to use it.

If the mixture is too dry, add more vinegar.
