Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 pound sausage
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 tsp of red pepper flakes
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 14 oz can diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup milk
- 8 oz dry pasta
- 2 cup shredded cheddar-jack cheese
Preparation
Step 1
1) Place olive oil into pan over medium heat.
2) Add onion and sausage then cook for 5 minutes.
3) Add garlic, salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, milk, and pasta.
4) Bring mixture to a boil.
5) Lower heat and cover for 15 minutes.
6) Stir in cheese.
7) Serve.
NOTE: For the sausage I used cooked Polish Kielbasa and for the cheese I used a Mexican blend (couldn't find cheddar-jack).
