Bacon and Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lb. potatoes unpeeled, quartered
  • 1/2 cup miracle whip dressing
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 6 slices bacon, crisply cooked, crumbled
  • 1/4 to 1/2 tsp. garlic powder or 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese

Preparation

Step 1

Cover potatoes with water in large saucepan. Bring to boil; reduce heat to medium. Cook 20 minutes or until tender. Drain
Mash potatoes. Add dressing, milk, bacon, and garlic powder; beat until fluffy. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Stir in cheese. Garnish with fresh thyme if desired
