Ingredients
- 250 g raisins
- 250 g currants
- 250 g sultanas
- 200 ml water
- 125 ml brandy
- 300 ml (180g) self raising flour
- 2 ml cinnamon
- 2 ml nutmeg
- 2 ml ginger
- 1 tin of condensed milk
- 1 medium egg, lightly beaten
- You can also add nuts and cherries

Preparation
Step 1
Put half of the fruit in a saucepan and add the water.
Bring to the boil for 1 minute
Remove from the heat and cool.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well
Place the mixture in a greased and paper lined 200 mm square tin
Bake at 180 C for 1 1/2 hours. Cover top of cake with greased paper also.
Allow to cool in the tin.
