HOMEMADE SEASONED SALT

RECIPE YIELDS 3 TABLESPOONS BUT CAN BE DOUBLED FOR A YIELD OF 1/3 CUP

Ingredients

  • 2 TABLESPOONS KOSHER SALT
  • 1/2 TEASPOON FRESHLY GROUND PEPPER
  • 1/2 TEASPOON PAPRIKA
  • 1/4 TEASPOON TUMERIC
  • 1/4 TEASPOON GARLIC POWDER
  • 1/4 TEASPOON ONION POWDER
  • 1/8 TEASPOON CAYENNE PEPPER AND A PINCH (1/16 TEASPOON) CINNAMON
  • 1 TEASPOON SUGAR (OPTIONAL) (USED ON BAKED SWEET POTATO, BARBECUED CHICKEN OR BAKED SALMON)

Preparation

Step 1

COMBINE ALL OF THE INGREDIENTS IN A SMALL BOWL AND MIX WELL. POUR THE MIXTURE IN A SMALL JAR OR EMPLY SPICE BOTTLE TO STORE.
NOTE: THIS AMOUNT OF CAYENNE PEPPER WILL FLAVOR BUT WITHOUT MUCH HEAT, CAN ADD A BIT MORE FOR MORE HEAT.
