This hearty stew is a great weeknight dinner for winter time when you need to warm up. Features ground beef or turkey with with potatoes, carrots, onions, garlic and spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef or turkey, browned
  • 3 to 4 potatoes
  • 3 to 4 carrots
  • 1/2 cup onions, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
  • 2 cups water
  • Italian spices, to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Put fried meat into a large crock pot along with the veggies that have been cut into small pieces.

Stir the tomato paste into the water and pour over ingredients in crock pot, then sprinkle the spices over everything.

Cook on low for 6 hours. A very good dish on a cold winter’s day!
