Ingredients
- Cake:
- 2/3 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 1-1/4 cups ground pecans
- 2 TBS grand marnier
- Topping:
- 2/3 cups chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup margarine
- pecan halves
Preparation
Step 1
1. Butter 8" round pan, line w/ waxed paper. Oven 375 degrees
2. Melt chocolate morsels. Let cool
3. In small bowl of electric mixer, cream butter and then gradually add sugar, mixing at high speed until light and fluffy, about 5".
4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5. With mixer on low speed add melted chocolate, ground pecans and grand marnier.
6. Pour batter into pan, bake for 25". Center of cake will appear moist and underbaked. Let cake cool in pan about 30". Run knife around edge of cake and invert cake onto wire rack, remove cake pan and waxed paper. Cool completely.
7. Glaze: Melt chocolate chips and butter. Stir until well-combined. Spread glaze on top of cake and garnish w/ pecan halves.
