Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 1/4 cup dark molasses
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- sugar for topping

Step 1
1.Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2.In a large mixing bowl cream together butter, egg and sugar; add molasses and mix well.
3.In a separate container combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda and ginger; whisk well. Add to mixing bowl and beat until well blended.
4.Scoop a spoonful of cookie dough into palm of hand and roll in small ball. Dip top in sugar and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes; cool on pan for 10 minutes.
