Ingredients
- 1 T. olive oil
- 1 small yellow onion, diced
- 1 small lemon, zested
- 2 1/2 lb. Dungeness crabmeat
- 1/2 c. creme fraiche
- 1 c. heavy cream
- 1 1/2 t. fresh thyme leaves
- 1/2 t. crushed red pepper
- Salt and black pepper
- 8 oz. grated white Cheddar
- Crackers or toast
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400.
Heat oil in a medium saucepan over low; add onion, saute until transparent, 4-5 minutes
Combine onion, lemon zest, crabmeat, creme fraiche, cream, thyme, red pepper, salt and black pepper.
Pour mixture into a gratin dish, and top with cheese.
Bake until top is brown and bubbling-30-40 minutes.
Serve with crackers or toast.
