Ingredients
- •2 to 4 pork chops, 1-inch thick
- •1/4 teaspoon salt
- •1/4 teaspoon pepper
- •1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- •1 small onion, thinly sliced
- •1/8 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- •1/8 teaspoon dried rosemary, crumbled
- •1/2 cup white wine
- •1/4 cup chicken broth or water
Preparation
Step 1
Rinse pork chops under cold water; pat dry with paper towels. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper; dredge in flour. Add vegetable oil to a heavy skillet over medium heat. Brown pork chops on both sides; remove to a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish or roasting pan. Cover with sliced onion. Combine thyme and rosemary with wine and water or chicken broth; pour over pork chops. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, or until fork tender.
