Ingredients
- 4 lbs Boneless Beef Brisket
- 2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- 3 Large Onions, thickly sliced
- 1 cup Hot Water
- 2 Tbl Cornstarch
- 1 cup Cold Water

Step 1
Place brisket, fat side up, in 10x13 inch roasting pan. Season brisket with salt and pepper; sprinkle with minced garlic; top with onion slices. Bake in 350 oven for 1 hour, or until onions turn brown. Add hot water, cover with aluminum foil and seal tight. Reduce oven temperature to 300 and continue to cooking 2 hours. Remove brisket topped with onions, to a warm serving platter.
Prepare gravy: Disolve cornstarch in cold water; add to pan juices and cook, stirring until boiling and thickened. Pour gravy over top of brisket; serve excess gravy in gravy boat. If desired, garnish platter with parsley, cherry tomates, pickled peppers, turnips or stuffed olives.
