Southern Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 T flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1-2 t vanilla, to taste
  • 2/3 c buttermilk

Preparation

Step 1

Blending with a mixer, blend well sugar, butter, flour. Add eggs, beating well after each. Blend in vanilla and buttermilk. Mix well. Pour into prepared pie crust. Bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees until set. May puff up, and will settle back after cooling. Cool completely before serving.
