Ingredients
- 3 Cups fresh stawberries, halved
- 1 Large Macintosh apple, peeled, cored and chopped
- 1/4 Cup granulated sugar
- 2 T A/P Flour
- Crumb Topping
- 1/2 Cup A/P Flour
- 1/2 Cup rolled oats
- 1/2 Cup sliced almonds (optional)
- 1/4 t nutmeg
- 1/4 Cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 T butter
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350
In a large bowl combine strawbertties, apple, granulated sugar, vanilla and 2 T flour, mix well.
Pread into a shallow 2 1/2 quart baking dish and set asside
Topping
In a medium bowl, combine flour, oats almonds, nutmeg and brown sugar. Using a pastry blender or two knives, cut butter into topping until a coarse crumb forms. Sprinkle crumb topping evenly over fruit mixture and bake until topping is lighly browned, about 25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack for 15 minutes before serving.
