Ingredients
- Creamy Tomato Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- One 14-ounce can tomato puree
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 generous pinch red pepper flakes
- Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
Preparation
Step 1
Put the butter and olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and onions and saute until soft, about 8 minutes. Add the tomato puree, heavy cream, salt, red pepper flakes and black pepper and cook for 10 minutes.
