Zuurkool Schotel ( Sauerkraut Casserole)

One of Holland's best kept secret, Zuurkool Schotel aka Sauerkraut Casserole features ground beef, nasi groente, potatoes, bread crumbs and of course sauerkraut.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 package nasi groente
- 1 can sauerkraut
- Mashed potatoes(2 pkgs. or make your own)
- Italian breadcrumbs
- Butter

Step 1
Brown ground beef well, meanwhile prepare package of Nasi spices according to directions on package, then add to browned ground beef and mix well, put into a well greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Drain sauerkraut, then put on top of ground beef mixture. Top with mashed potatoes, then breadcrumbs and lastly put butter dots all over top of breadcrumbs.
Cook at 325°F for 45 minutes to 60 minutes until nicely browned. Serve with gravy and enjoy!
