Chicken Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 can kidney beans
  • 1 can pinto beans
  • 1 can garbanzo beans
  • 1 can black-eyed peas
  • 1 can condensed black bean soup
  • 1 can diced green chiles
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 Tbsp chili powder
  • 1 Tbsp cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder or 2 cloves fresh garlic

Preparation

Step 1

Stovetop method:
Place chicken, onions, and half of the broth in a stock pot. Cover and cook on high about 15-20 minutes. Add remaining ingredients. Cover and cook an additional 20-30 minutes.
Crockpot method:
Place all ingredients in a crockpot and cook for about 7 hours on low heat.
