Scones

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 c heavy cream

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450
Stir dry ingredients together
Cut in 1/4 c butter grated
Beat the eggs
Reserve 2 Tbsps of egg and add cream to the rest
Make a well in the dry ingredients and pour in liquid
Combine with a few swift strokes
Brush with reserved egg and sprinke with salt or sugar
Bake about 15 min until golden
