Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup paprika (I use 2 tablespoons each of regular and smoked)
  • 1/4 cup kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ground cumin
  • 1/4 cup chili powder (I use 2 tablespoons each of regular and ancho)
  • 1/4 cup granulated garlic (or 2 tablespoons of garlic powder)
  • 2 tablespoons mustard powder (ground mustard)
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoons fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons cayenne

Step 1

Mix all ingredients together and store in a tightly covered container.
Store in a covered jar or air tight plastic container for up to 1 year after preparation. This rub can be used on beef, chicken, pork, fish, seafood, and vegetables.
