Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Butter; melted
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 cup rice cereal; coarsely crushed
- 4 ounce shredded cheddar cheese; finely shredded
- 1/2 cup italian seasoned bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts; pounded -1/12 pounds
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 9x13 inch baking dish with 2 tablespoons
butter.
Put flour in a shallow bowl. Beat together egg and milk in another bowl.
Mix together cereal, cheese and bread crumbs in another bowl.
Sprinkle garlic powder, salt and pepper evenly over each chicken piece.
Dredge each in flour, shaking off excess, then dip into egg mixture letting
excess drip off. Press each piece into crumb mixture to coat and arrange
in prepared baking dish. Drizzle remaining 2 tablespoons butter evenly over
chicken.
Bake until chicken is golden brown and juices run clear or until an instant
read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of chicken registers
165°F, about 35 minutes.
