Chocolate Crinkles

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 ounces MINI semisweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar

Preparation

Step 1

In a large bowl, mixs together butter, cocoa and sugar. Whisk in the eggs and vanilla. In a medium bowl, mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Slowly add dry ingredients to the chocolate mixture. Stir in the chips. Refrigerate dough for 2 hours.

Heat oven to 350. Form the dough into 1-inch balls, then roll them in confectioner's sugar. Bake on ungreased baking sheet for 10 minutes. Set the baking sheet on a wire rack for 5 minutes, then lightly dust the cookies with the remaining confectioner's sugar. Transfer cookies directly onto the rack to cool thoroughly. Makes 4 dozen.
