Chicken a la King

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 celery rib, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups cooked, cubed chicken
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • bread for toast

Preparation

Step 1

In a large nonstick skillet, sauté the mushrooms, celery and onion until tender.

Combine flour and broth until smooth; stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add chicken and peas; heat through. Serve over toast.
