Ingredients
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 t. baking soda
- 1/4 t. baking powder
- 1/2 t. cinnamon
- 1/4 t. nutmeg
- 1/4 t. cloves
- 3/4 t. salt
- 6 T. softened butter
- 1 cup plus 2 T. sugar, divided
- 2 large eggs
- 1/3 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1 cup pecan pieces, optional

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the bottom and sides of a loaf pan. Measure the flour through the salt and place in bowl. Cream butter and 1 cup sugar in bowl. Stir in eggs. Mix in buttermilk and pumpkin. Stir in flour mixture until well blended. Pour into pan. Sprinkle pecans and remaining 2 T. sugar on top. Bake about 1 hour.
