Ingredients
- 1 1/2 to 2 lbs flank steak
- 1/4 cup unbleached flour
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup chianti wine (i used pinot)
- 1 package mushrooms cleaned and sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 cup blue cheese
- kosher salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Step 1
season flank steak with salt and pepper then coat both sides with flour. place in bottom of crockpot so the steak lays flat. cover with onions and mushrooms. mix together wine and beef broth and pour over top. drizzle with olive oil and balsamic. cook on low for 8 hours. add the blue cheese during the last 15 mins and stir before serving.
